When Shah Rukh Khan Got Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Thrown Out Of Many Films
They are finally seen together, but have you ever wondered why have not seen this good-looking jodi together onscreen after Devdas for such a long time?
This undisclosed piece of information was revealed on Simi Garewal’s show by the blue-eyed star herself which is plain shocking!
It is said that SRK and Ash had been signed for five films together while they were shooting for Devdas. None out of them ever materialized. On being asked about it, Aishwarya said, “At a time there was talk about a couple of films we will be working in together and then suddenly they were happening with no explanation, whatsoever. I never had the answer to why.”
It is a wide known fact that Aishwarya had started shooting for Chalte Chalte (2003), where she was later replaced by Rani Mukherji. She was also reportedly part of Kal Ho Na Ho (2003) and Veer Zaara (2004) amongst some other movies opposite SRK.
On being quizzed about how Aishwarya felt on being replaced unceremoniously, she said that the whole episode was shocking and hurtful but she was thankful that God has never given her time to brood over the matter. Further when Simi probed her about why did she not have a conversation with SRK, she responded saying – “If people have to explain, they would. If they never did, they never intended to. I am not somebody who would go to someone and ask why? For me, my dignity is extremely precious to me and that is something which I hold dear to me,”
Seems like some hatchets have been buried and people have finally moved on. Though we wonder what took so long and would they finally have had the conversation? Whatever got them together, as fans of this terrific duo, we can’t wait to watch two together in ADHM this Diwali.
